The Supreme Court building
We are constantly reviewing our business continuity planning in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic. We are making every effort to maintain a functioning court system in support of the administration of justice and rule of law. Justices and staff are working from home, wherever possible.
At this time the Supreme Court building itself will remain temporarily closed.
Since 24 March all UKSC and JCPC cases have been heard via the Webex video conferencing platform. Judgments are handed down via the same platform. This has allowed hearings to proceed with all parties being in remote locations. We will continue to work in this way until further notice. All proceedings are live streamed and available to view on demand on the UKSC and JCPC websites. In addition, parties can now file papers remotely.
Please note that The Supreme Court building will also be closed to the public on the following dates:
